Just posting my logo so I can use it in a Gmail signature. I hope to post more updates soon about new bag designs and fabrics!

Etsy: Official Launch!

So, I decided not to wait. I got impatient. It was a snow day. I took it as a sign. So I went ahead and opened shop!

You can find my shop at www.etsy.com/shop/cezbdesigns.

I will continue to post here, as I am enjoying sharing my process with whomever wants to read! I might start posting some of my favorite online tutorials, and more about how I'm coming up with new designs, tweaking old ones, etc.

Check out my shop! Thank you!!

Holiday Gifts

Here are few gifts I made this Christmas for friends and family...and my pooch Keema!

I made these heating pads out of cute flannel. They are filled with short grain brown rice mixed with lavender oil so they smell lovely and help you relax. Two minutes in the microwave makes these steamy for about 30 minutes. My favorite to take in bed on a cold night!

I made this new collar for Keema with some fabric from one of my new fat quarters, from Monaluna. Love love love it.
And Keema loves it too!

I made this tote bag for my mom, who's a kitchen/bath designer. I loved this fabric with retro mixers and blenders on it.

I made this bag extra padded for her work tablet and design stuff. There's a pocket on the outside for her phone, and a small zip pouch that loops onto one of the handles, for her to put her business cards. It also has a magnetic snap closer to hold everything in.

Bonus: Fabric.com accidentally sent me the wrong fabric, and I got to keep it AND the new fabric! So now I'm going to make some kitchen curtains. Update: here they are! (I know they are off left and right but I've decided I don't care.) (UPDATE: I decided I did care and I fixed them.)

Pouch Sets

I've recently begun purchasing fat quarters, or little bundles of cute fabrics that coordinate with each other. I love it because you get a piece of every fabric in a whole collection! This has led me to start making little sets of matching pouches...

For men!

These bags are made with a double layer of interfacing, to really hold their shape. They are lined with water-repellent black canvas, and have faux-leather tabs and zipper pull.

They are long enough to fit a toothbrush, toothpaste, or can of shaving cream. I have two sizes: one approximately 11" long, and another about 13" long.

I like how these are flat; they're about the size of a folded sweater,
so could fit right in with your clothes in your suitcase.

Device Cover

Pick two fabrics, and I can make a nice, padded yet slim cover for any device. Just let me know the exact make and model of your iPad, iPad mini, Kindle, Nook, etc.

Wristlet Clutch/Wallet

I make this bag in two styles: one, as shown here, has a small pocket on the inside. The other style has no inside pocket, but two large outside pockets that together equal the width of the bag. Both styles come with a removable wrist strap.

Sunglasses Case

This little case is for sunglasses only--it's not super padded so not for REAL glasses. But it will keep those giant sunnies (as they call them in Australia) from getting scratched in your bag! Closes with a magnetic snap. The lining in this bag is also glasses fabric, but I have several solids that coordinate well. Or of course you can go with entirely different fabrics...

Boxy Pouch

This little bag is great as a makeup/travel pouch as well. I like it for makeup because you can lie things flat, and it's long enough to hold some brushes. Keeps things more organized. Easy to open and see everything inside, without digging around!
There are little tabs on each end to help you open and close the zipper. I didn't add zipper pulls to these bags, but I can.

Boxy Pencil Case

This pencil case (or makeup bag, etc.) is about 8" long, and 2.5" wide and deep. It has a contrasting loop on one end to help open the zipper, and pull it out of the depths of your purse.

Glenda Clutch

This super cute clutch was made from a pattern from this great book. It has a magnetic snap, and will hold its shape well. There's room for a small wallet, cell phone, everything for a night out. Colors are navy and gold, with a bright coral lining.

Here's more fabric choices:

Small Pleated Pouch

These small pouches measure about 5" deep by 6" wide. It's a really cute shape, and just big enough to fit your cell phone, a few credit cards and some cash, and your chapstick and keys, you know, all the essentials. It has a small wrist strap for easy carrying, but can also be made without a wrist strap, as such:
Also a great little purse pouch. I generally make this one with softer interfacing, but it can also have a stiffer feel if you prefer (that's what she said! I know, I know. I don't know how else to say that).

I can add a zipper pull too, if you prefer.

Travel Pouch

This pouch is approximately 7" by 7". It has a loop on the side to hang it up, and a faux suede zipper pull. It's made of 100% cotton fabric, interfacing, and a zipper. It has a relatively stiff feel, but can be made softer if desired.

Perfect size for makeup and travel (I use mine to store all my various cords when traveling). Also any small bag is great to keep essentials in your purse, to make it easier to switch bags (just throw small pouch into the new bag). This bag is particularly good for keeping, um, feminine products so you don't have to lug your whole purse to the bathroom.

This bag is available in a variety of fabrics. I will post all that I have available.
